Hi there Focus owners. Today on your 2017 Ford Focus we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's Alpha 2 Tow Bar. There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle, your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar in the event of a catastrophic disconnect. You'll need your base plate, which provides the attachment points for your tow bar and safety cables. You'll need your diode wiring, which takes all of the lighting signals from your motor home and operates the lights at the back of your vehicles, so people behind you know your intentions when going down the road. more

Our tow bar is going to be that key connection point that connects our RV to our towed vehicle using the base plate and the two-inch receiver hitch on our RV.The arms on our tow bar are going to be telescoping so it's going to be easy to hook up. We can kind of hook up at any distance, as long as it isn't in full lock or too close. They are self-aligning, so it's going to be pretty easy. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at eTrailer.com. Today on our 2011 Ford Fusion we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to set up the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar. A tow bar is going to be one of six main components needed to fly it to your Fusion. The other five are going to include a base plate, diode wiring, safety cables, a braking system and a brake light relay.Now our tow bar is going to provide us with a reliable and secure connection point to connect our motor home to our Fusion when we're flat towing it. And one of my favorite things about this particular tow bar is that it's going to have these integrated channels. Now these are going to be used to run our safety cables and our electrical cable through it and that'll help clean everything up and help prevent our cables from dragging on the ground.Now this tow bar is non-binding so what that means if you we're to happen to be on an uneven surface and you needed to disconnect your tow bar, sometimes they get in a bind and you can't even move it. more

Your tow bar is one of the five main components on a flat tow set up. The other four are going to be safety cables, your baseplate, your braking system, and your lighting. This is Roadmaster's Nighthawk All-Terrain. It's going to have the integrated safety cables and seven to six-pole umbilical cord.Now, the attached umbilical cord is going to use seven-pole side for your RV, and the six-pole side for your towed vehicle. With it being attached to our tow bar, this is one less thing we're going to have to buy. more

RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar Installation - 2015 Ford C-Max- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ford C-MAX, we're going to be installing the Roadmaster's Falcon-2 Tow Bars, part number RM-520. These tow bars will allow you to pull your vehicle behind your motor home. It's a connecting interface that will drag this behind it. It will attach to your base plate here at the end with telescoping arms. This will allow it to properly align itself when you take off, and while you turn it'll maintain that appropriate distance. When you're ready to disconnect, if you're parked on uneven terrain, there's a nonbinding lever here that you can press down on to help release the arm, to give it a little bit of slack. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford Focus, we're going to be taking a look at the Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part number RM-520. So here's what our tow bar looks like. Now this is going to allow us to safely tow our Focus behind our motor home, and get down the road and start our adventure. So, if you're looking for a tow bar that has the ability to store on your RV, you're not having to take it on and off, but also the extremely easy and simple to hook up, the Falcon 2 is going to be a great option for you.It's going to slide into the receiver hitch on our motor home, and we're not going to have to worry about a ball mount. Now on our application, we are using a high-low adapter, which is not included. Our tow bar is designed to work with two inch by two inch receiver tube openings, and has a capacity of 6,000 pounds.Now on the vehicle side, it's just going to be a simple quick hookup to our base plate, and it's going to work with all Roadmaster base plates as well as some Blue Ox base plates with an adapter that is sold separately. more

Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar Installation - 2013 Ford Taurus- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Taurus, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar, part number RM-520. Now, the Falcon 2 tow bar is going to allow us to safely and securely tow our vehicle behind our motor home. Now, our tow bar's going to directly into our receiver tube. There's no need for a ball mount. The shank's going to go directly into a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube, and it does come with a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now, our tow bar is going to feature a large hookup radius. more

Blue Ox Tow Bar Installation - 2014 Ford Edge- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we're going to be installing the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar with a motor home mount and rated for 6500 pounds. Part number BX7365. We're here at the back of our motor home. We're going to need to insert the tow bar into our receiver hitch here. Go ahead and line up the hole, slide the pin through, and put the clip on it as well. You may notice that this particular motor home already has a rise. It's about a four inch rise receiver that's added to it. more

RoadMaster Falcon Tow Bar Installation - 2014 Ford C-Max- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford C-Max, we're going to be installing the Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar, part number RM-522. We'll start by installing the quick disconnect on the towed vehicle. We'll start on the passenger's side and take our quick disconnect bracket, line up the pre-drilled holes on the bracket with the base plate arm. Then we'll take the bolt plate, line it up with the holes and install the bolts. On the backside of the base plate where the bolts come out, we'll install a flat washer, split lock washer nut. We'll use the same hardware for both attachment points. more

Blue Ox Tow Bar Installation - 2011 Ford Escape- Video
Today on this 2011 Ford Escape, we're going to install the Blue Ox Aventa LX Tow Bar, part number BX7445. With our base plate already mounted on the Escape and the tabs installed, we're ready to go ahead and install the tow bar onto the RV and then connect it to the Escape. Ideally, we'll be doing this on solid-level ground, but unfortunately, the bad weather today doesnt permit us to do that. We got the RV inside installed and pinned in to the hitch. We can now go ahead and connect the arms to the Escape. We'll then remove my pins that come pre-installed and you can see. more
